I really enoyed this one! Looking forward to the sequel, whenever it gets finished!. Anyone who loves the King's Quests series or a point and click fan, this is a game I strongly reccomend. It was a great story and looking forward to another adventure starring our friend Finn the Bard!. I really wish there were more options than just recommended or not. It is not a bad game and I don't advice anyone to stay away from it. I bought it at a discounted price and playing it was a pleasant if not particularily exciting expereience. I will probably buy the next installment if I remember about it and when it's on sale. But it is not one of those games I believe everybody should try. It isn't even one I believe all fans of the genre or the artstyle should try. It's just OK and nothing more. My biggest complain is that it was really easy and I like my adventure games at least a little challenging. Art was all right but nothing special. Music was mostly all right but nothing special bordering on annoying in some places. Voice acting was annoying most of the time. General design of the world was quite nice unfortunately I was doing things simply because there was very little to be done, not because they made any sense - a sin too many adventure games have on their conscience. If you happen to get it and you like this sort of games you're not in for a major disappointment and chances are you might actually enjoy it. But if you aren't desperate for your retro adventure fix, there are beter titles to go out your way to buy.. In almost every way that matters, this game is a thoroughly charming, and extremely well executed point and click adventure game that could easily play ball with the old school Sierra/Lucas Arts franchises. The art is clearly inspired by the era, and is masterfully done. My limited review here wouldn't do it justice, but it really was very well done. The play style functions intuitively for the novice and will be very familiar to fans of the genre. (Save save save!). The story was fun. It was certainly characteristic of the genre, perhaps even a little canned, but I truly didn't mind. I would have preferred it it to be a bit longer though.Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, it is clear that the design team thoroughly tested the game, which I found to be completely free of any bug that would crash the game. The team took the testing a step further and made sure that there were no logical dead-ends either. I'm sure there's an official name for it, but basically where you advance to a point in the plot without obtaining something, and then can't proceed without reverting back to an earlier save/start. (KQ5 and the cat chasing the mouse still makes me grind my teeth.)I am thrilled that the point-and-click adventure game market seems to be picking back up after what seems like an eternity. I really thought I'd seen the last of this sort of game until just a few years ago. If you're a fan, there's a whole community of sites out there devoted to this type of game. Just like any other genre it is not without its fluff or repetition. This game isn't fluff, and I enjoyed it beginning to end. If you're a fan of the genre you will like this game.. This was an amazing game from start to finsih. I was a fan of the King's Quest series as a little girl, and this renewed my love for point and click games. Worth every penny, and I can't wait to play the next! Great job!. The graphics are horrible to the point of being unplayable. Skip this one.. Reminiscent of Quest for Glory SYWTBAH, great writing, classic adventure gameplay. The game is designed where you can't get stuck in an unwinnable situation or locked out of an area. All text is voiced and the voice acting is high quality. Did you enjoy the worlds of King's Quest? Take a jaunt through a fantasy land as a bard!
